Shed Zeppelin made their debut at The Piping Hot Chicken Shop in on the Bellarine Peninsula back in winter 2009 to great acclaim. A change in the original lineup has brought Melbourne front man Andrew “Simmo” Simpson to centre stage. Simmo’s performance reflects his intimate knowledge of the music and brings an authenticity and stage presence strongly reminiscent of Zeppelin’s Robert Plant. Occasional guest artists include Rozi (backing vocals), whilst Melbourne-based harmonica master Justin Brady brings the house down with a stunning rendition of the classic Delta blues number When the levee breaks.

The band faithfully reproduce all the classic rock songs together with less well known tunes such as the acoustic Bron yr Aur, Going To California, Babe I’m Gonna Leave You, the eastern influenced Kashmir, British blues classic Since I’ve Been Loving You, and the orchestral Rain song. The band continues to expand its repertoire allowing it to match appropriate song lists for any given occasion. As was the case with Led Zeppelin’s live performances an acoustic set regularly features. And yes, they do play Stairway To Heaven. How could they not?

Come to Shed Zeppelin's next gig and enjoy the classic songs from the legendary British rock band.
